The shape and proportion of the Bai Jade Bell Vase reflect ancient Chinese bells. Emulating objects of the Shang Dynasty, the Bell Vase is a symbolic reflection of that period when bells cast in bronze as well as jade carving was first developed into a sophisticated art form. The Bai Jade Bell Vase is hand-blown with meticulous care in the Peking Glass tradition: hollow glass is formed from layer upon layer of molten glass.
