The standard design of this bed requires a box spring and mattress, each 7” - 8” high. Side boards are 8”h.
In both Options A & B, the “zig-zag” of the headboard provides space for propping pillows, while the “zig-zag” of the footboard is opposite (i.e. the points come out into the room).
BD-45 (A&B) ships in four pieces and requires simple assembly on site (slip sideboards into slots mortised into headboard and footboard and tighten two bolts on each).
