This design came from a commission to make a good-sized dining table (108”) against which a console (84”) could slide over and flip outwards (and mate) to become a very long, grand table seating 18 people. The edges are designed for well-joined seams while still maintaining a surface that's enjoyable to touch. A drawer underneath the console is for small-item storage.
