In a world of megapixels and hi-tech imaging, we’ve found beauty in the lo-fi photos of a 35mm camera. The grainy geometry of a chain-link fence and hard shadow of a leaning street sign craft lines that are scattered and true. The ghostly whiteness of a bleached-out sunrise and the heavy blackness of a dimming porch light provide contrast that can’t be ignored. These photos are gritty, unbalanced and recklessly beautiful, and their unconstrained vitality is the inspiration for Southern Analog.
