The QOM Series Power Supply Center utilizes two primary taps, a switched or a dimmed tap to compensate for losses when dimming. Four secondary taps provide secondary voltages of 12V, 13V, 14V & 15V or 24V, 25V, 26V & 27V. Loads may be connected to one or more of the secondary taps up to the full watt rating of the PSC. The advantage is that loads at varying distances from the PSC can be tapped on different taps to recover voltage drop and produce between 85-100% light output. All of the QOM Series Power Supply Centers come with primary circuit protection. QOM DUO units are protected by one magnetic circuit breaker (per toroid). Breaker sized to the feed load per N.E.C. Article 411 (not to exceed 25 amps per load). All wiring by the electrical contractor must be Class 1 compliant to N.E.C. Secondary Breakers available in 5A, 10A, 12.5A, 15A, 20A, and 25A. A choke or "Debuzzing Coil" option reduces noise and in-rush current, especially with high in-rush LEDs. A choke is especially helpful when dimming, to achieve quiet operation.
Variations listed below are for one toroid. Below that are the different combinations.
