Stainless Steel
BMD Modern Hoods proudly use the finest materials available. Our hoods are formed using 16 gauge, 300 series #304 stainless steel and 100% seamless welds. They have a beautiful brushed finish that comes standard and options for alternative finishes upon request at additional charges.
Blowers / Liners
We use high performance liners, manufactured using 400 series stainless steel and are equipped with variable speed controlled, integral, dual squirrel cage blowers producing 1200 cfm’s. Each unit contains 300 series stainless steel wrapped, heavy duty aluminum mesh filters that can be removed and machine washed. All motors are listed and certified by Underwriters Laboratories.
Lighting
Every hood comes with their own integral lighting system, powered by a solid state dimming control and pre-wired for easy installation. Models 48” wide will house 2 halogen lights. Models 54”-60” wide will house 2-3 halogen lights. Lamps included: par 20/50 watts
Ducting & Electrical
Power requirements and duct sizes: 115v / 10 amps / 60 hz / 1200cfm / 10” duct (80 sq. in.). Equivalent duct sizes using square inches provided is acceptable. We provide duct transitions for models that require them.
Glass
All of our glass used is 1/2” thick, tempered and exposed edges are flat polished. We offer glass options such as tinting and frosting if desired at additional costs.
Finishes
We offer custom finishes extending from brushed and machined treatments, to powder-coating custom color matches. We also offer clear-coat powder-coating treatment to the stainless steel to help reduce fingerprints and streaks. Contact sales representatives for pricing on custom finish options.
Custom Options
BMD Modern Hoods offer custom size adjustments to our models to accommodate special installation needs. In this regard, some hoods can only be manipulated within a certain degree in order to preserve the integrity of the design. Custom requests will be evaluated before they are approved.
