Snaidero’s Acropolis kitchen by Pininfarina Design enables people to experience life at 360 degrees. It is a concentric kitchen, conceived to be in the center of the room and meet the needs of the person who wants everything around them. Ergonomics, dilated forms, living life full circle: these are the basic ingredients of the kitchen of the future as offered by Snaidero.
In Acropolis, only what is needed exists. Its sleek, luxurious design embraces the delicate balance of space, beauty and functionality. The kitchen becomes a rounded stage where everything is within reach and where the cook – the entertainer – can move around easily and quickly to make his creations while facing his/her “audience” at all times. The concept behind the circular design originated from one of Pininfarina’s favorite hobbies, drumming, and his comparison of a drum set to the kitchen, where both the drummer and the cook express their creativity and reveal their abilities to their spectators.
With highly advanced engineering, Acropolis brings automotive technology to the kitchen space with a unique aluminum structure that is 40% lighter than standard aluminum. Made with completely recyclable materials, the circular structure hosts many technical features, such as a LED lighting system.
