Manufacturer's Product Description

Task seating has just gotten a lift from Allsteel with the introduction of Scout, a design incorporating the look and feel expected of executive suite furnishings, but representing unprecedented value. Scout is distinguished by simple lines and a slim profile. It features a stylish mesh back that cradles the body, arms that adjust for both height and width, and a seat that not only rises and lowers but also glides outward for additional depth. An upholstered back option is also available on standard models, making Scout ideal for a variety of corporate applications as well as government offices, healthcare and educational facilities. Scout’s versatility is equaled only by its ergonomic and environmental attributes. An integrated, five-point ratchet back can be added to allow for customized lumbar support, yielding a comfortable and proper seating position that evenly distributes pressure across the user’s back. The intuitive synchro-tilt mechanism with tilt lock allows for ease of use when adjusting for ergonomic support. On the environmental front, Scout is SCS Indoor Gold Certified. Additionally, it is packaged and shipped using a newly developed Allsteel system that efficiently reduces waste. Assuring durability and long life, Scout is warrantied to accommodate up to 300 pounds for use in a 24-hour office setting, where multiple users share a single chair in shifts.
