Townsend Split Table is an exercise in simplicity; two elegant 1" thick hand-hewn planks form the top while two single piece legs give it strength and stability. The result is an elegant table without the typical leg on each corner; allowing you and your dinner guests easy access to the feast at hand.
Shown above in Rosewood. See additional images for other wood samples. Wood color and grain patterns vary. Due to environmental concerns, as of September 29, 2008 we will no longer be offering Rosewood as a option for the Townsend Table.
All Townsend tables are 29" tall and 36" across. Thickness of the top is 1". The gap in the middle does indeed go all the way through, and it is .5" wide. There is an undercarriage providing support between the two legs
Custom lengths and widths are available for all our tables. Some of the more common requests are for narrower table at 32" or wider at 42" or 48". Custom pricing is usually based on the closest regular priced table. For example, if you need a 34" x 74" table, the price would be the same as a 36" x 72".
