Product Description
The Fundy Play Table, inspired by The Bay of Fundy. Folklore in the Mi'kmaq First Nation claims that the tides in the Bay of Fundy are caused by a giant whale splashing in the water. Oceanographers attribute it to tidal resonance resulting from a coincidence of timing: the time it takes a large wave to go from the mouth of the bay to the opposite end and back is the same as the time from one high tide to the next. In other words, the 12.4 hour period of the lunar tides is close to the natural sloshing period of the bay, so the moon sloshes it as if it were a bathtub. Fundy! Specs
Dimensions: 26" L x 30" W x 8" D. Two different height legs included: table top height at 18" and floor play height at 12.5". Made of solid birch and lacquered MDF in orange or blue. Stainless steel legs with locking casters. Choose between dry erase or chalk board tops. Slow closing safety hinges. Inner storage and drawer for toys, paper, markers chalk, etc.

Argington uses 99% wood products in it's furniture, with virtually no mdf, particle board, flake board or other similar engineered wood products. The wood comes from managed renewable forests established specifically to provide long-term responsible solutions towards the growing demand of timber related products - FSC certified. Our finishes are non-toxic and can withstand the test of time. Aside from our solid wood components, the birch plywood used in our products are made with low emission glues which nearly eliminate long term emissions and off-gassing. We have even coordinated efforts with our energy efficient production facilities to develop manufacturing processes that help maximize yield and minimize waste of raw material.
