Design Naoto Fukasawa (2005)
An egg with its container, a solid and a hollow part, the convexity and concavity of a hold-all container. In an elegant glossy lacquer finish, available in black, white or China red, Fukasawa presents his personal and humorous interpretation of the classic oriental theme of opposites, positive and negative, yin and yang. The container, a six-faced box with a cavity shaped like half an egg carved out of one side, is the perfect bowl or fruit basket, with a purpose that can change according to the need of the moment. The egg can also be taken apart into four ready-for-use trays.
