The cultural expression of extreme sports goes well beyond the activity itself. It manifests itself through verbal and visual languages, behavior codes, and fashion sensibilities – all of which are inextricably linked to their activities. There also exists a connection between the graphic artists who design snowboards and skateboards and the riders who use them. The artist spirit of this sport and fashion culture is brought to life with the Street Sport Collection, a unique upholstery of 10 designs in more than 60 colorways.
“It is so exciting to capture the energy and pulse of what one sees and feels happening around them and express that in textiles,” states Heather Bush, Creative Director, “this convergence of influences is exploding all around us and the we (Carnegie Design Studio) wanted to bring that cultural experience to market in a series of powerful fabrics, why, because it feels good.”
In addition to its high level of design, Street Sport surpass the ACT standards for durability and performance in a commercial setting. Each can have the added performance of a Nano- Tex spill resistant finish added all are manufactured in accordance with EPA regulations in regards to water usage, dye toxicity, and waste disposal.
