What is a clipping?
Clippings are social bookmarks and allow you to save pages from anywhere on the web. A clipping might be anything related to architecture and design – a favorite product, an awesome blog post, a hard-to-find drawing, or maybe an interesting news article.
How do I post a clipping?
You can copy and paste a link from an external site into the box on the clippings page and click the 'add' button. Once the Clippings box opens, add/edit the clipping name, description, and tags, and click 'Create Clipping'. You can also use the Designer Pages Clip It bookmarklet in your browser. Then, whenever you are on a site and find something you'd like to clip, click on the bookmarklet, which will generate a Clippings box.
What are saved clippings?
Whenever you clip a webpage for Designer Pages, it is immediately saved to your account. Additionally, you can save existing clippings to your account.
How do I save existing clippings to my account?
To save an existing clipping, simply login to your account, and click the 'save clipping' button to the right of the clipping. This will keep the listing stored in the 'saved clippings' section of your account.
How do I remove a saved clipping?
To remove a saved clipping, log in to your account and click the 'remove clipping' button from the 'saved clippings' section of your account.
Who can see my clippings?
Designer Pages will never display your saved clippings to other users. However, any webpage clipped for Designer Pages is anonymously placed in a public collection and can be viewed by anyone in the community.
How do clippings help me?
Clippings help you organize research. Just like folding a page in a magazine, use clippings to manage content from all across the web.
