Where to begin?! Obviously, I love the Pinch. I'm a fool for multitaskers. But that Brit Bench gets me every time. Completely gorgeous.

But aside from pointing out pieces, I think that the variety and quality at the spring shows spoke volumes about the direction product design is headed. Clearly, we have turned a corner and reached a new era of ideas and collaboration. There were amazing collections and individual pieces everywhere at the shows. Nice grouping, Jacob!

Sometimes a great piece of furniture is even better once you hear the inspiration behind it. So check out Jake’s video blog from BKLYN DESIGNS:

. . . and then you will understand why I love Uhuru’s BILGE LOUNGE.

The Myto Cantilever for stylish and stable and slightly off-kilter sitting; the Pinch Bed for the skeleton that would otherwise go in my closet; the Woven Wall for the delusion that everybody can be like Andy Warhol for 15 minutes; and the Twist Together for the reminder that contemporary table lamps are never edible, no matter how tasty they might appear.

Furniture like this makes me want to rob the bank next door so I can get my grubby hands on all of them. However my personal fav has to be the Search table as I find it a great assemblage of technology and design. That being said I dont mind the piano too, though I am tone deaf!

Very Meta: nice cross-section of furniture that comments on the act of making furniture

the twist together lamps are one of my favorites in this collection -- they would be great in a trendy new york city apartment or even in a children's bedroom. big fan
